 A proper air purification system is needed when indoor gardening to avoid unpleasant musty odors due to the organic wastes that are a product of indoor gardening. They can also help eliminate airborne contaminants that cause your plants to sicken and even die. Two main types of air purification are through carbon filters and ozone generators, we also carry some gels and aerosols.
Carbon Filters
Carbon is a highly absorbent material which makes it one of the most effective methods of air purification. Carbon is able to trap the smallest of organic particles that cause odor resulting from hydroponic gardening. Carbon can only absorb organic contaminants and do need to be replaced.
Ozone Generators
Ozone is an allotrope of oxygen, a molecule consisting of three oxygen atoms. In large amounts ozone is toxic, but ozone generators create this substance in small amounts. Ozone generators destroy indoor gardening odors by killing off the micro-organisms that cause them including mold, mildew, and bacteria vs. absorbing and trapping odor like carbon.
